# Rules & Information

Welcome to Mineseed! This wiki is made to help you learn more about our SMP!

## To play on Mineseed...

To play on mineseed, you are required to have full access to a minecraft account. EasyMC is prohibited.

We have rules in place to keep Mineseed a welcoming place for everyone regardless of ethnicity, representation, religion, or belief. The Mineseed staff reserve the right to punish anyone for reasons outside of the rules explicitly listed. Rules can change at any given time.

Use your common sense and keep the server kid friendly!

### Discord Rules

## In-Game 

Alt accounts are allowed to keep chunks loaded, but they cannot be used in a manner to exploit the game, such as in weekly challenges, for extra auction slots, claiming double /rewards, etc. Admin discretion will be used to determine punishments on alt usage.

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Offensive Language/Discussion**</mark> \[warn] \[1h mute] \[4h mute] \[1d mute] \[permanent mute]
  * includes cursing, inappropriate and/or controversial discussion topics that are not kid-friendly

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Begging**</mark> \[warn] \[1h mute] \[4h mute] \[1d mute] \[perm mute]
  * constantly or frequently asking for loot and/or money, for others to do your /cf, pvp with you, asking the same questions over and over again even if they have been answered

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Spamming/Flooding and Non-English Chat**</mark> \[warn] \[1h mute] \[4h mute] \[1d mute] \[perm mute]
  * spamming/flooding includes character spamming, repeatedly saying the same message/similar meaning messages in a short duration of time
  * speaking in languages other than English (we are a US-based server, so English is the acceptable language in main chat. You can speak other languages in /msg or in /teamchat)

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Toxicity**</mark> \[warn] \[4h mute] \[8h mute] \[perm mute] \[perm ban]
  * saying rude things (including cursing at someone) that can hurt someone or their feelings

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Harassment and Inciting Violence**</mark> \[warn] \[8h mute] \[24h mute] \[5d ban] \[perm ban]&#x20;
  * bothering other players or staff who ask you to stop doing something to them and you don't
  * bringing up topics that are trying to rile other players up
  * mutiny or other hostile takeovers

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Inciting Riots**</mark> \[warn] \[perm ban] \[perm IP ban]
  * bringing up topics that are trying and succeeding to rile other players up
  * mutiny or other hostile takeovers

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Advertisements and Promotions**</mark> \[perm mute] \[perm ban] \[perm IP ban]&#x20;
  * mentioning names or URLs of other servers, hosts, or websites that provide other players an opportunity to leave Mineseed

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Discrimination or Derogatory Remarks**</mark> \[perm ban] \[perm IP ban]
  * using hate speech and/or saying derogatory remarks

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Threats**</mark> \[perm ban] \[perm IP ban]&#x20;
  * saying you'll kill someone in PVP is one thing; saying they should go kill themselves or that you will kill or hurt them IRL is not OK

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Stealing/Griefing**</mark> \[3d ban] \[5d ban] \[7d ban]
  * it is considered stealing if the base or group of chests/barrels/receptacles is not claimed. If you're interested in an unclaimed area with a build, ask a staff member to check for you
  * it's also griefing if you alter an area around an existing claim or build on purpose so that that makes it difficult for the owner to expand their claim
  * deliberately irritating and angering other players, usually on multiplayer servers, through methods like destruction, stealing, or social engineering

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Scamming**</mark> \[5d ban] \[perm ban] \[perm IP ban]&#x20;
  * tricking another player into taking a deal that is not fair

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Inappropriate username or skin**</mark> \[5d ban] \[14d ban] \[perm ban]
  * if it's not appropriate for kids, to say to your principle or teachers at school, a church official, or a cop, it's probably not ok here

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Inappropriate builds/building**</mark> \[5d ban] \[14d ban] \[perm ban]
  * use your common sense. if it's not appropriate to show your partner's parents, elementary school teacher, or a church clergy member, it's not OK to build here.

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Lying to staff**</mark> \[Admin Discretion]&#x20;

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Third party trading (IRL deals)**</mark> \[5d ban] \[perm ban] \[IP ban]&#x20;
  * making a real life deal by including someone/something that is not directly a part of a transaction
  * making a real life deal with a third-party platform to get something in Mineseed
  * example: paying someone with a Steam gift card to give you something in game; paying someone a subscription to another game or platform to buy you something in game; giving someone something that is not Mineseed-related for something in game

* <mark style="color:blue;">**Punishment Evasion**</mark> \[IP ban/IP mute]&#x20;
  * signing online with an alt account if you're banned
  * using signs or discord's mine chat channel to talk in chat if you're muted (especially if it's about your punishment)<br>

### Illegal Modifications

Included but not limited to the following:&#x20;

* <mark style="color:blue;">**X-Ray/Chest ESP/Cave Finders**</mark> \[5d ban] \[14d ban] \[30d ban]&#x20;
  * if you can't see it in vanilla minecraft without mods, then you shouldn't be able to see it in Mineseed
  * you can use a mini map, but it needs to be in safemode so you can't see through solid blocks
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Hacked Client**</mark> \[5d ban] \[14d ban] \[30d ban]&#x20;
  * hacks could include things like flying without a flight voucher or unlocked rank, speed hacking, macros that do things for you, aim bot, instant break, etc.
  * this includes freecam or baritone
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Seed finders**</mark> \[perm ban]&#x20;
  * we don't share the seed of the world on purpose. keep the spirit of discovery in Minecraft alive :)&#x20;
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Autoclickers**</mark> \[5d ban] \[14d ban] \[30d ban]&#x20;
  * you must be responsive while clicking. if you are unresponsive but clicking, we could assume it's autoclicking
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Tweakeroo/fast place mods**</mark> \[5d ban] \[14d ban] \[30d ban]
  * you can use Litmatica and easy place mode, but not printer mode
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Duping/Exploit Abuse**</mark> \[perm ban] \[IP ban]&#x20;
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Bug Abuse**</mark> \[perm ban] \[IP ban]&#x20;
  * examples include breaking bedrock to get to the nether roof, or exploiting a trick or glitch that shouldn't usually be possible or isn't intended in Minecraft
* <mark style="color:blue;">**World downloading**</mark> \[perm ban] \[IP ban]
  * we don't share the seed of the world on purpose. keep the spirit of discovery in Minecraft alive :)&#x20;

## Staff

We have several staff roles who help to moderate the server and chat. You can identify them by their prefixes in chat:

We work to keep a full staff roster, and keep applications that meet the criteria on file until we are actively looking. When we are actively looking for new staff, we will notify eligible players to invite them to join the team.

Please don't get discouraged if you don't receive a message, or ask for the status of your application. We may be at capacity for staff!&#x20;
